Artist Statement
“Juxtaposing miniatures, photography, found objects and toys, I explore humor & pathos with ambiguities of scale & proportions. I’m interested in unfathomably large and minutely small objects and how relative size can create a powerful confrontation.”
Bio
Ross Martens studied Film & Photography at Northwestern University. In Chicago, he works as an artist, photographer, and art framer. He is co-owner of Alley Gallery. His work on the short film “Do You See Me” won several awards including Best Cinematography at the Zerotrenta Film Festival in Argenta, Italy.
